Job summary

Meadowlark Elementary School in Salt Lake City is seeking a Paraprofessional (Special Education) - Self-Contained for a part-time role (~0.7375 FTE). You will support students with daily living, motor and behavioral skills under a SPED teacher in multiple classes, including one-on-one and small-group instruction.

The role requires a high school diploma, two years of college or an associate degree, and AE/ParaPathways or equivalent, plus CPR/First Aid within 2 months.

Qualifications

• Fingerprinting and background check required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college or an associate degree preferred or equivalent.
• Must pass Parapro/ParaPathways or equivalent assessment.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 2 months of hire.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; basic math skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise students in general education classes per IEP needs.
• Provide 1:1 or small group instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Collect data on behavior and academics for Medicaid documentation.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and mobility tasks as needed.
• Support students getting on/off the bus in the morning and afternoon.
• Report incidents and maintain student safety per district policies.
