Qualifications

• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, bending, standing, and sitting) for extended periods.
• Safely manage physical or verbally aggressive students.
• Lift occasionally up to 60 lbs. to a height of 36 inches and frequently up to 25 lbs. to a height of 36 inches.
• Attend to students’ personal care and daily living needs.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
• In-person collaboration on-site is required.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom work under the direction of the teacher to reinforce lesson plans.
• Implements instructional behavioral programs under supervision to improve students' academic success.
• Maintains students' files/records and documents activities/data.
• Monitors students in classroom, library, playground to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Performs clerical tasks to support the teacher and administrator.
