Job summary

Arbor Academy is seeking a dynamic SPED Paraprofessional to join our team as a full-time teacher support staff member. The role involves 1:1 or small-group tutoring and instructional assistance under teacher supervision.

Responsibilities include monitoring during tests, assisting Title 1 programs, and preparing the classroom for instruction while collaborating with general and special education staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of study at an accredited institution (minimum of 60 credit hours).
• An associate degree (or higher).
• Passing ETS Parapro assessment with a passing score of 460.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring.
• Provide instructional support services under the supervision of a teacher.
• Provide monitoring services during testing sessions.
• Assist with the Title 1 program: complete necessary paperwork for Title 1.
• Prepare the classroom for subsequent instruction.
• Supervise pupils in learning center activities: computer lab, library, or media.
• Read to children, listen to children read, explain assignments to children.
• Respond to all levels of supervision.
