Job summary

Arbor Academy in Michigan is seeking a dedicated SPED Paraprofessional to support students with special and general education needs. You will work 1:1 or in small groups to assist with lessons and assignments under teacher supervision.

Qualifications

Nature of the Position

Works collaboratively with general and special education staff to ensure students have the support they need to be successful academically, behaviorally, and socially. Will work 1:1 or small groups to assist with lessons and completing assignments.

Qualifications

1. At least two (2) years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (minimum of 60 credit hours)
2. An associate degree (or higher)
3. Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment:
   • Knowledge of and the ability to assist in, instructing reading, writing, and mathematics; or
   • Knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics as appropriate.
4. Passing ETS Parapro assessment with passing score of 460

Responsibilities of Position
