Job summary

Vacaville Unified School District seeks a Paraprofessional - Special Education to support instructional staff in the classroom and provide individualized learning experiences. Responsibilities include assisting with behavior modification, monitoring student performance, and performing clerical duties as assigned.

Position: Full Time at Fairmont Elementary, 6 hours per day, 180 days per year. Requires relevant credentials and clearances; reports to Principal or Assistant Principal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid and CPR certification (may obtain within the first four months).
• Paraprofessional Certificate OR 48 college semester units OR AA degree or higher.
• Must pass Strength and Agility test prior to employment.
• Criminal Background Clearance.
• Tuberculosis Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of individual or small groups across subjects.
• Support behavior modification program implementation.
• Monitor and report student behavior and performance.
• Provide information to appropriate school personnel.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
