Job summary

Kent School District is seeking a Paraeducator on a long-term substitute (LTT) basis. The role covers Horizon Elementary with a 6.5-hour day schedule that may vary by student days. Compensation is hourly, from $30.89 to $37.99, under the KAP Salary Schedule.

Requirements include an Associate degree or higher, 72 college credits, and a ParaPro score of 455+ (or willingness to test). Post-hire state training is required.

Paraeducator Requirements

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution.
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
  • If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opporutnity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Post Hire Requirements

Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
