Job summary

Kent School District in Kent, WA is seeking paraeducators for a 190-day KAP calendar. The position is hourly, anticipated to run about 6.5 hours per day from Oct 2026 through Feb 2027. Compensation is $30.89–$37.99 per hour, with benefits provided.

Minimum qualifications include an AA degree or higher, 72 college credits, or a 455+ ParaPro score plus high school completion. If not yet met, you may apply and take the ParaPro test prior to hiring.

Paraeducator Requirements

Prior to starring, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.

If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opporutnity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Post Hire Requirements: Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
