Job summary

Pasadena Independent School District is seeking a SPED Omega Aide (HS) to assist the special education teacher in the daily training program. The aide may help with feeding, lifting, and individualized care as needed, and support both instructional and non-instructional activities.

Responsibilities include classroom management, preparing instructional materials, maintaining student records, monitoring safety, and aiding in transportation routines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas Educational Aide Certificate required.
• ParaPro or PAC test required (No Child Left Behind).
• Bilingual testing may be required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in routine classroom management duties.
• Prepare instructional materials for lessons.
• Maintain classroom environment and supplies.
• Assist students in homework and test taking.
• Modify teacher's assignments, tests, and other instructional entities.
• Maintain records and files on each student.
