Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers' Walpole program is seeking a Licensed SPED Teacher (Mathematics) for Massachusetts Chapter 766, a year‑round program with education, career development, recreation/fitness, and individualized therapeutic approaches.

Under the Principal, you will implement IEPs, contribute to multidisciplinary treatment teams, maintain a safe classroom, manage behavior, and document progress for reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with strong knowledge of Mathematics.
• Massachusetts Educator Licensure required.
• Experience in education and/or with program population desirable.
• Computer literate including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing individualized educational programs (IEPs) for students at varying academic levels.
• Implement behavioral management and crisis intervention within the classroom.
• Participate on multi-disciplinary treatment teams and provide progress information for educational goals.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment.
• Provide monitoring/coverage as needed (lunch, recess, field trips).
• May serve on department or agency committees.
• Communicate with families to involve them in the educational program.
