Job summary

Katy Independent School District is seeking a dedicated SPED Aide at Leonard Elementary in Katy, Texas. The role involves clerical support and direct student care for Life Skills/Structured Life needs under the supervision of the Principal.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers with instructional activities, maintaining confidential records, and supporting students with disabilities. The position requires CPI certification after hire and ParaPro credentials as specified.

Qualifications

Must have or obtain Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate upon employment.
CPI certification required once employed.
Minimum ParaPro score of 464 on applicable campus.
Title I campus requires 48 college hours or ParaPro 464.
Non-Title I campus requires 15 college hours or a high school diploma/GED with ParaPro 464.

Responsibilities

Assist special education teachers in implementing instructional programs for students.
Collect data and maintain confidential student records and charts.
Provide non-medical student care including toileting, bathing and feeding as needed.
Support implementation of behavior intervention strategies and assistive technology.
Prepare and duplicate instructional materials and maintain equipment for student programs.
Assist students with IEP goals under teacher supervision.
