Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District seeks a SPED Instructional Assistant/Resource to support instructional programs at Fireside Elementary School. The role assists in supervising and teaching students, implementing IEP plans, and collaborating with teachers to reinforce learning objectives.

The position is non-interim at Fireside Elementary, offering ASRS benefits, paid sick/personal time, medical coverage, and optional dental/vision; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• SKILLS required include adaptability to supporting classroom objectives, instructional support, and maintaining safety practices.
• Ability to follow established procedures, document records, and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience in collaborating with teachers and students to reinforce learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities under teacher direction to support objectives.
• Administers tests, homework, and make-up work to support learning.
• Attends meetings and in-service trainings to stay informed on procedures.
• Escorts students to various locations to ensure safe and timely transitions.
• Maintains and documents instructional materials and records for compliance and reference.
• Delivers instruction to students in individual and small-group settings to reinforce objectives and IEPs.
• Responds to emergencies to maintain safety.
