Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District is seeking a SPED Instructional Assistant (HQ) for Echo Mountain Primary. This non-interim, 9-month position provides support in regular and self-contained classrooms, assisting in instruction and supervision of special needs students.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with completion of ParaPro or equivalent; positions begin immediately with dates through 05/27/2027. CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and one of the following
• Passing of ParaPro Assessment
• Proof of 60 postsecondary hours or AA degree (optional)

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities to support objectives.
• Assists in supervising and instructing special needs students.
• Monitors student behavior and ensures safety.
• Records instructional materials and progress updates.
• Reinforces IEP goals and plans with students.
