Paradise Valley Unified School District is seeking an SPED Instructional Assistant/ HQ at North Canyon High School to support special education students within regular and self-contained classrooms. The role involves implementing IEP plans, supervising students, adapting activities, administering assignments, and assisting with behavioral management under licensed teachers.

The position is non-interim, 9 months, 6.75 hours per day, with benefits including ASRS and paid time off.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with one of the HQ options listed.
• Options include 60 college hours, AA degree, Parapro assessment, or WorkKeys.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials to support classroom objectives.
• Administer tests and assignments to support teachers.
• Assist medically fragile or special needs students with daily care as needed.
• Communicate with staff and parents to monitor progress and IEP goals.
• Implement behavioral plans and supervise students to maintain safety.
