Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District seeks a 2026-27 SPED Instructional Assistant-Special Education (Flexible/Part-Time) to support daily instruction for students with special needs in various locations in Phoenix, AZ. This role is timesheet-based with a 1:1 or small group support focus and requires CPR/First Aid/CPI training and background clearance.

The position reports to Site Administrator and offers flexible hours (1–29 per week) across Mondays–Fridays.

Qualifications

• CPR Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• CPI Certificate
• Criminal Background Clearance
• Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• FLSA Status - Non Exempt

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives.
• Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom.
• Maintains instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files/records for the purpose of ensuring availability of items; providing written reference.
