Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District at Liberty Elementary School is seeking a SPED Instructional Assistant/Personal Care for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with special needs one-on-one, assisting with daily living tasks and following behavioral plans to reinforce learning.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with teachers and health staff to implement IEP goals, monitor progress, and maintain safe, calm classroom environments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with behavior plans and IEPs preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities under teacher direction to reinforce classroom objectives.
• Assist medically fragile students with hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Communicate with teachers and health professionals to support progress and IEP goals.
• Document daily activities and logs for accountability.
• Maintain files and records to meet mandated requirements.
• Support safe, respectful classroom behavior and de-escalation when needed.
