Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for the assignment.
• Knowledge of the special needs of students in the assigned area.
• Understanding of ARD/IEP goal setting and implementation.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs students.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences to support their growth.
• Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and instructional materials tailored to student ability levels.
• Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacities as assigned.
