Job summary

Washington County Schools (TN) seeks a SPED Instructional Assistant II to support students in the Special Education department. The role requires either two years of college credit (48 hours), an Associate's Degree, or successful completion of the Para-Pro exam.

Candidates must obtain First Aid/CPR and De-escalation and Restraint certifications if not already held. It is a full-time, non-exempt position in the Student Supports - Special Education area, with a focus on helping teachers implement

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit (48 semester credit hours) from an accredited university, an Associate's Degree, or passing the Para-Pro exam.
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification and De-escalation and Restraint certification.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance required; and passing score on Para-Pro may substitute for college credit.
• Pre-employment Physical Exam required.
