Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED with one of the following: PESB-approved score.
• Associate degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
• 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher.
• Completed a paraeducator apprenticeship registered with WA Apprenticeship/Training Council.
• Two years of successful work experience with special education students.

Aufgaben

• Assist with IEP preparation under the classroom teacher's direction.
• Assist with behavior management and instructional programming.
• Instruct students individually or in groups as assigned.
• Assist with hygiene and personal care; may assist with medical treatments under nursing staff.
• Prepare materials for students, teachers and parents; type, hand draw, reproduce and collate.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, buses and field trips.
