Job summary

Evergreen Elementary in Spokane, WA is seeking Paraeducators for the Developmental Learning Center to support students with disabilities under the Special Education program. These positions run Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, with a 6.5-hour day, and start date immediately.

The role involves instructional support, behavior guidance, data collection, and collaboration with teachers. Candidates must meet state requirements for paraeducators and have or be willing to obtain first aid/CPR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Para educators shall be highly qualified upon hire per state law.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in meeting instructional and behavioral needs of students with disabilities.
• Assist in small or large group settings to reinforce learning objectives.
• Observe, record data, chart behavior, and prepare materials as required.
• Follow plans and safety procedures as directed by administration or certificated staff.
