Job summary

Campus Adventures Staffing Solutions is seeking Certified Special Education (SPED) Substitute Teachers for long-term assignments at public charter schools in the Kingsville, Texas area. This position will start in mid-August and last for about 3 months.

Once the long-term assignment ends, candidates will have the opportunity to continue working as a daily substitute at an adjusted daily rate.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Special Education classrooms (required).
• Ability to stay calm, consistent, and structured in high-need environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work across grade levels (PK–12 as needed).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• Valid Special Education Certification (required)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Dyslexia Certification
• Experience in Life Skills, Behavior, or Inclusion settings
• Prior long-term substitute or lead classroom experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to remain active for up to 8 hours
• Ability to kneel, crouch, and assist students as needed
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to perform CPR if required
