Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated SPED Transportation role to provide safe daily transport for students between home and campus. The position offers hourly pay and a performance bonus tied to team goals, with comprehensive benefits including tuition reimbursement and paid family leave.

Qualified candidates must meet HS diploma or GED requirements, have at least 1 year of non-CDL driving, and be ready to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of 32 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a non-CDL passenger vehicle ideal.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport SPED/RISE students to homes and campuses on schedule.
• Assist with equipment like wheelchairs and car seats and ensure student safety.
• Conduct pre/post trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with SPED Transportation Manager and campus leaders on availability and routing.
