Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a SPED Transportation Monitor in Mission, TX. You will safely transport students to and from home and campus, manage loading/unloading, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

The role requires vigilance with schedules, adherence to DOT/IDEA policy, and collaboration with campus leaders. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, at least 1 year driving a non-CDL passenger vehicle, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year experience driving a non-CDL passenger vehicle.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Minimum 32 hours per week commitment.
• Able to work extended hours when necessary.
• Experience assisting SPED students with equipment.
• Participation in ARD/IEP meetings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport SPED students to/from home and campus on time.
• Transport to various sites and field trips as assigned.
• Oversee loading/unloading; ensure proper restraints and safety belts.
• Document and report disciplinary issues as required.
• Report delays and maintain route records and credentials per DOT/IDEA policy.
