Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a SPED Transportation Aide to ensure safe, reliable transport for SPED and/or RISE students to and from home and campus daily, focusing on safety and cost efficiency. This hourly role ranges from $15.34 to $19.18, plus a performance bonus tied to team outcomes.

You will inspect vehicles, support ARD/IEP meetings, and coordinate with the SPED Transportation Manager for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Able to assist SPED Monitor and students with equipment such as wheelchairs, car seats, child safety restraints, etc.
• Participate in ARD and IEP Meetings with Special Education personnel and Principals
• Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues

Responsibilities

• Safely transport SPED students to and from home and campus.
• Follow safety rules and procedures, inspect vehicles daily and report delays.
• Take direction and feedback from campus managers and leaders.
• Manage multiple tasks by prioritizing work and adapting to changing circumstances.
