Job summary

Royal High School in Brookshire, Texas is seeking a PASS/SPED Teacher to implement BIP/IEP and provide intervention and training for staff working with students with emotional and behavioral needs.

Reporting to the School Administrator, you will collaborate with general and special education teams, mentor teachers, and lead trainings on behavior management and crisis interventions to support inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in developing behavioral strategies and data collection.
• Collaborate with campus staff and behavior staff to provide ongoing training in behavior management and positive supports.
• Model effective social skills and behavioral strategies per IEPs and intervention plans.
• Promote inclusion of students with behavior problems by supporting district curriculum and materials.
• Assist in developing documents to maintain and document student progress.
• Attend staffing and ARDs to assist with IEP development/evaluation.
• Assist in implementing individual Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Coordinate with evaluation staff in planning for students.
• Mentor new teachers in behavior strategies and interventions.
• Plan campus Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
• Provide parent training on behavior management per IEPs.
