Job summary

Qualifications

• Bilingual may be required for respective positions.
• College hours 15 or high school diploma or GED (with a passing score of 464 on the ParaPro test) for Non-Title I campus.
• Communicate and work with students.
• Maintain effective working relationships.
• Minimum clerical skills.
• Good physical and emotional condition.
• Work with confidential material.
• Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate required once employed.
• College hours, 48 minimum or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with the preparation, implementation, and data collection of student academic, behavioral, and functional goals, accommodations, modifications, and delivery of supports.
• Deliver accommodations, modifications, and other supports to students with special education services in whole group, small group, or individually, as described in the IEP.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and behavioral plans. Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidential student records.
• Other SHARS Duties as assigned.
• Provide Personal Care as identified in applicable student IEPs.
