Job summary

Katy ISD Taylor High in Katy, Texas is seeking an Aide - SPED - Resource/ICS to support students with special education needs. The role reports to the Principal and requires paraprofessional certification and ParaPro criteria for certain campuses.

Qualifications

• Deliver accommodations, modifications, and other supports to students with special education services in whole group, small group, or individually, as described in the IEP.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and behavioral plans. Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidential student records.
• Other SHARS Duties as assigned.
• Provide Personal Care as identified in applicable student IEPs.

Primary Purpose:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist nonambulatory students. Expose to biological hazards.
