Job summary

Katy ISD HASKETT JUNIOR HIGH in Katy, Texas seeks a SPED-IC Teacher to provide special education consultation and instruction for eligible students. The role reports to the Principal and requires effective communication with campus staff, district SPED staff, and parents/guardians.

Responsibilities include ARD/IEP meetings, PLAAFP goals, data collection, and collaboration with general education teachers to ensure appropriate education in the least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Valid Texas certificate in appropriate area required.
• Bilingual certification required for respective positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents and attend ARD/IEP meetings for students eligible for special education.
• Develop PLAAFP and annual goals/objectives for IEPs and assist in providing education for eligible students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service staff to implement student programs.
• Administer State-approved assessments and monitor student progress as required.
