Job summary

KING ELEMENTARY in Katy, Texas is hiring an Aide - SPED - Resource/ICS to support instructional staff and students with special needs. The role reports to the Principal and requires compliance with district requirements for Title I or non-Title I campuses.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a 187-day schedule and pay grade IS03. Starting immediately, qualifications include potential bilingual requirements and ParaPro certification; additional Title I qualifications may apply.

Qualifications

• Must communicate and work with students
• Maintain effective working relationships with staff and students
• Have minimum clerical skills
• Be able to handle confidential material appropriately
• Good physical and emotional condition for classroom duties

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with the preparation, implementation, and data collection of student goals and supports
• Provide accommodations and modifications as described in IEPs
• Assist with classroom management and behavior plans
• Maintain confidential student records
• Perform other duties as assigned; SHARS duties as needed
• Provide personal care as identified in IEPs
