Labcorp in Richmond, VA is seeking a Specimen Processing Team Lead to oversee daily production and ensure accurate specimen preparation for analysis. This role leads accessioning staff, coordinates workflows, and supports continuous process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years in lab or production, and some leadership experience. The shift is Monday to Friday 4:00pm-12:30am with rotating weekends, and benefits include medical, dental, 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3 years or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry or production.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations
• Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
• Encourage process improvements and best practices
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Resolve any production errors as requested by management
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
• Perform administrative duties as needed
