Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Specimen Processing Group Lead to supervise 8–12 technicians, coordinate schedules, and support performance reviews. The role operates 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM shifts, Monday through Friday, with hours varying by production needs.

Qualifications

• Internal candidates minimum of one year in SPT III/related role.
• 3 years experience in a laboratory environment with Specimen Processing preferred.
• Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates as a lead for 8–12 technicians in the Specimen Processing group.
• Schedules coordination and provides input for performance reviews.
• Monitors shift duties, ensures clean-up and maintains supply inventory.
• Assists in training, cross-training and department audits as assigned by supervisors.
• Supports adherence to policies and drives productivity and quality goals.
