Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. Based in Baltimore, MD, Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processing Team Lead to supervise daily operations and guide a team through processing and testing workflows.

The role supports quality and efficiency while promoting process improvements. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in a lab setting, and strong computer and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Three years or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry or production.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of day-to-day operations of the Department Name department.
• Help lead the team in daily processes and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Oversee routing of specimens to their prep areas.
• Encourage process improvements and best practices.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Resolve production errors as directed by management.
• Research and resolve production errors while escalating when necessary.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
• Enforce and manage policies and procedures.
• Perform administrative duties as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processing Team Lead to join our team in Baltimore, MD

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 1:00pm – 9:30pm; ability to cover 1st and 3rd shift and weekends as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Name department
• Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
• Encourage process improvements and best practices
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Resolve any production errors as requested by management
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
• Perform administrative duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 3 years or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry or production.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree
• 2 years or more experience working in a clinical laboratory
• 2 years or more experience as a people leader

Job Additional Standards

• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• Pay Range: $19.00-$25.00 Per Hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Benefits:

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
