Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our team at Ascension St Agnes in Baltimore, MD. This role supports clinical lab operations by preparing specimens, labeling, and data entry, ensuring accurate routing to testing facilities.

You will work in a high-volume, production-based environment, with responsibilities spanning packaging, storage, and documentation of specimen information, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of experience in a medical or lab environment.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs and pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our team at Ascension St Agnes in Baltimore, MD.

Work Schedule:

Every other Saturday and Sunday, 5:00am to 1:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Pay Range: – $17.75 - $23.88

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
