Job summary

Abbott in Madison, Wisconsin seeks a Clinical Lab Associate I, Specimen Processing to perform day-to-day operations in the Specimen Processing Department, including accessioning and processing, automation use, and lab maintenance. This role supports data reporting and adheres to lab policies under supervision.

The position requires flexibility to work a Sat-Mon shift (6p-6:30a) and may involve travel to other sites within the city as needed. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience using computers (Internet, email, MS Office).
• Legal authorization to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning, processing, automation usage, sample racking, lab maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain GDP data reporting and follow quality management policies.
• Support SOP development, inspections and audits; participate in process improvements.
• Complete mandatory training and annual competencies within timelines.
