Job summary

Aegis Sciences Corporation is seeking a Specimen Collector to gather biological specimens at client sites and ensure the integrity of collection and reporting records.

You will verify insurance for billing, follow SOPs, and pack specimens for shipment while maintaining compliance training and strong customer service skills. Schedule is Mon-Thu 9:00–5:30 and Fri 9:00–5:00, up to 40 hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality and extreme confidentiality.
• Experience in healthcare/medical field preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills essential to success in this role.
• Positive attitude in patient interactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; multitasking, attention to detail, and ability to interact with staff at all levels.
• Basic computer knowledge: emails, web navigation, credential management, ports, typing 40 wpm, Windows OS, tablets, file management, and security measures.

Responsibilities

• Collect biological specimens at client sites following SOPs.
• Maintain chain of custody and labeling integrity for all samples.
• Verify insurance information for billing and utilize ELR “FLUID” for submissions.
• Pack specimens securely for shipment and maintain documentation.
• Answer questions from clients/patients regarding Aegis policies.
• Complete required compliance training (e.g., HIPAA).
• Maintain PPE safety and assist with inventory and budget as needed.
• Communicate with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager.
