Job summary

Aegis Sciences Corporation seeks a dedicated Specimen Collector to perform on-site sample collection at client sites in Illinois. You will maintain sample integrity, document activities for reporting, and prepare specimens for shipping under SOPs.

Role requires confidentiality, strong customer service, and attention to detail. Requires a high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills; prior medical experience is a plus. This is an on-site position in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with confidentiality.
• Experience in the medical field is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Positive attitude in patient interactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; multitask without sacrificing quality.
• Basic computer knowledge including emails, web navigation and password management.
• Knowledge of Windows OS and credential security.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• Experience with tablets and stylus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect biological specimens at client sites while maintaining collection integrity.
• Maintain records for reporting purposes and assist with billing verification.
• Package specimens for shipment according to SOPs.
• Ensure chain of custody and proper labeling/sealing of samples.
• Follow ELR submissions and respond to client/patient questions.
• Adhere to PPE and safety requirements and participate in trainings.
• Communicate with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager as needed.
• Support process improvements and contribute to departmental goals.
