Job summary

Labcorp in Calabasas, CA is seeking a dedicated Specimen Processing and Accessioning team member for a Tuesday–Saturday night shift (10:00pm–6:30am) with potential additional days. Responsibilities include preparing, labeling, unpacking, routing, and packing specimens, maintaining accurate data entry, and ensuring production goals are met.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED. Preferred candidates have Labcorp experience and 3+ months in a lab, healthcare setting, or manufacturing

Work Schedule

Tuesday – Saturday 10:00pm - 6:30am. Additional days and hours may be required depending on business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities

• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Minimum Qualification

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• 3 months or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 3 months or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory environment
• 3 months or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
• 3 months or more of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment

• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range

$17.75 - $20.75 per hour. Plus a shift differential All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
