Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a PRN specimen processing associate to prepare and route lab specimens, label accurately, and manage shipments to testing facilities. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and reliable data entry in a fast-paced lab setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in a clinical lab, healthcare environment, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Night shift schedule is included as part of a rotating 7-on/7-off pattern.

Work Schedule

This is a PRN position Monday - Sunday 8:00PM-4:30AM

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification

• 1 year or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 1year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience
• 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
• 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment

Pay Range

$18.88 - $22.22 per hour plus 3rd shift differential.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
