Job summary
Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure is seeking a Specification Engineer to own product definitions and BOMs for wire and cable products at the Pearl facility. You will translate approved designs and customer specifications into manufacturable product specs and documented testing instructions.
Responsibilities include BOM creation and change control, manufacturing instruction development, and cross-functional support for Quality, Purchasing, Planning, and Design Engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience is required.
- Experience creating and maintaining engineering specifications, BOMs, and testing requirements.
- Wire and cable industry experience is preferred; knowledge of UL/CSA/IEC/IEEE standards is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Translate designs, customer specifications and standards into complete product specifications.
- Own BOM creation, validation, release, and change control for materials and constructions.
- Create controlled manufacturing instructions, tolerances, and quality checkpoints.
- Provide NPI leadership for new products at the Pearl facility and cross-functional support.
