Job summary
Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure seeks a Specification Engineer in Pearl, MS. You will own product definitions, BOMs, and performance requirements for wire and cable products, translating customer specs into manufacturable details and testing instructions.
You will review designs, manage BOM revisions, and lead NPI initiatives while collaborating with Quality, Purchasing, and Design Engineering teams to ensure compliance and manufacturability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience creating and maintaining engineering specifications, BOMs, and testing requirements.
- Experience in the wire and cable industry is strongly preferred; familiarity with UL/CSA/IEC/IEEE standards is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage BOMs, material specs, and manufacturing instructions.
- Translate designs and customer specs into manufacturable product definitions and testing instructions.
- Review and approve BOM revisions; evaluate substitutions for performance, quality, and cost.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) for new products at the Pearl facility; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
