Job summary

Omnicell in Laurel, MS is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role involves assisting the pharmacist with dispensing medications, delivering excellent customer service to patients, and handling data entry for patient, medication, billing, and sales records.

Base compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits starting on day one. Local schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 am–6 pm, supporting the community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Active License/Registration from the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy (non-expired) required.
• Preferred: Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (PTCB or NHA accepted).

Responsibilities

• Help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications to ensure correct drug and dosage.
• Provide exceptional customer service for patients in person and by phone, with active listening.
• Learn specialty diseases to best serve patients and grow in your career.
• Enter patient, medication, billing, and sales data accurately into systems.
• Support and improve the pharmacy and the team, and grow with Omnicell.

Hours and Location

• This pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm

What You’ll Bring

Basic Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Active License/Registration from the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy non-expired
• Working knowledge of Pharmacy Technician duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT): PTCB or NHA accepted.
• Experience working in a specialty pharmacy

Work Environment And Physical Demands

• This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and other movement for the duration of the shift and lifting up to 25 pounds
