Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD) required from an NLN approved school of nursing.
• 3 years of recent relevant acute care nursing experience, required.
• State of Michigan Registered Nurse license, required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification, required.
• APHON certification, required.
• Previous experience with accessing medi-ports and starting IVs, required.
• Specialty certification, required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cancer Treatment Center at Royal Oak hospital in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic.
• Comfortable with accessing medi-ports and starting IVs; monitor patients for infusion reactions.
• Care for pediatric patients receiving chemotherapy and blood transfusions.

Scope of Work

The Specialty RN Ambulatory for this posting will work in our Cancer Treatment Center at our Royal Oak hospital in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic.
