Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience preferred.

• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires effective customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in daily medication preparation and dispensing tasks within a closed‑door pharmacy.
• Handle patient calls and coordinate prescription refills or referrals with providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to procedures under supervision.
• Support process improvements and participate in pilot programs as needed.

Description:

Our specialty and mail order pharmacy program is looking for pharmacy technicians to join our team in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas in pharmacy. These unique roles allow team members to leverage existing retail or specialty expertise in a high touch, patient focused environment. Outside of traditional retail and mail operations, team members are involved in monthly adherence refill calls and referral coordination with internal and external provider offices. Schedule: Monday – Friday day shift, includes no weekend/evenings/holidays and is based out of our closed-door pharmacy. Patient interactions occur via phone, with hybrid work opportunities available after fully trained. Ample opportunities for career advancement including specialty pharmacy continuing education, process improvement projects, and ability to participate in meaningful business optimization pilot programs.

Requirements:

• 2+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires working knowledge and skills as a pharmacy technician in assigned areas and ability to work within established procedures under moderate supervision.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires effective customer service skills.
• Requires intermediate proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications. High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
