Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a pharmacy technician to join our fast-growing pharmacy team in a patient-focused, high-touch environment. This role supports monthly adherence refill calls and referral coordination with providers, operating mainly in our closed-door pharmacy with patient interactions by phone.

Schedule is Monday–Friday day shift with hybrid work opportunities after training; opportunities for career advancement through continuing education and process improvement

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Requires absence of criminal history related to drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires working knowledge as a pharmacy technician and ability to follow procedures under moderate supervision.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.

Description:

Our specialty and mail order pharmacy program is looking for pharmacy technicians to join our team in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas in pharmacy. These unique roles allow team members to leverage existing retail or specialty expertise in a high touch, patient focused environment. Outside of traditional retail and mail operations, team members are involved in monthly adherence refill calls and referral coordination with internal and external provider offices.

Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift, includes no weekend/evenings/holidays

and is based out of our closed-door pharmacy. Patient interactions occur via phone, with hybrid work opportunities available after fully trained. Ample opportunities for career advancement including specialty pharmacy continuing education, process improvement projects, and ability to participate in meaningful business optimization pilot programs.

Requirements:
