Job summary

IU Health is seeking pharmacy technicians for our fast-growing, patient-focused team in Indiana. This role leverages retail or specialty pharmacy experience in a high-touch environment, with monthly adherence calls and referral coordination.

Schedule is Monday–Friday day shift with no weekends, evenings, or holidays, and hybrid work opportunities after training. Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Indiana or intern/extern status is required or expected; strong math, communication, and customer

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Absence of criminal history related to ability to work with drugs.
• Strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Licensed pharmacy technician in Indiana or intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective customer service skills.
• Proficient typing and Microsoft Office usage.

Description:

Our specialty and mail order pharmacy program is looking for pharmacy technicians to join our team in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas in pharmacy. These unique roles allow team members to leverage existing retail or specialty expertise in a high touch, patient focused environment. Outside of traditional retail and mail operations, team members are involved in monthly adherence refill calls and referral coordination with internal and external provider offices.

Schedule: Monday – Friday day shift, includes no weekend/evenings/holidays

and is based out of our closed-door pharmacy. Patient interactions occur via phone, with hybrid work opportunities available after fully trained. Ample opportunities for career advancement including specialty pharmacy continuing education, process improvement projects, and ability to participate in meaningful business optimization pilot programs.

Requirements:

• 2+ years relevant experience preferred.

• Requires working knowledge and skills as a pharmacy technician in assigned areas and ability to work within established procedures under moderate supervision.
