Job summary

Summit Health in New Jersey is seeking an experienced medical assistant to support physicians and staff in daily patient care coordination. You will liaise between patients, staff and clinicians, maintain patient flow, and document accurately in EHR and PMS.

The role requires NJ nursing license and BLS certification, with 2–4 years of relevant experience. You will obtain vital signs, administer injections, and ensure safe handling of medications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• NJ State Nursing License and BLS certification required.
• 0–4 years experience; 2–4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician and staff with daily patient care coordination.
• Function as liaison between patients, staff and physicians.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accuracy in documentation.
• Document in EHR and PMS; enter orders and schedules.
• Obtain vital signs and document in EHR.
• Administer injections per protocol and document in EHR.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments per guidelines.
• Follow universal safety precautions when handling medications and waste.
