Job summary

The role involves performing injections, triage telephone assessments, scheduling, and maintaining equipment logs. Requires NJ nursing license and BLS, with 0–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• New Jersey State Nursing License and BLS certification required.
• 0–1 years experience; 2–4 years experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician and staff with daily coordination of patient care.
• Function as liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Delivers direct patient care within the scope of licensure.
• Collects lab specimens and accurately labels them.
• Prioritizes patient care by implementing physician orders.
• Prepares for patient visits and documents pertinent information in EHR.
• Communicates issues promptly to supervisor/manager.
• Ensures proper patient identification and safety precautions.
• Uses Tasking in EHR appropriately.
• Obtains vital signs and documents in EHR.
• Administers injections and documents in EHR.
• Schedules appointments per guidelines.
• Maintains logs for emergency equipment.
• Facilitates transition of care to UCC/Hospital.
• Maintains proficiency with department equipment.
