Job summary

Fairview Health Services in River Falls invites applications for a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team at the River Falls Clinic. This .6 FTE role (48 hours per 2 weeks) covers the schedule shown with weekends and selected weekdays.

The position provides high-quality diagnostic imaging and collaborates with the care team, supporting imaging procedures including fluoroscopy, portable x-ray, and general x-ray in ambulatory settings. Eligible for a sign-on bonus prorated by experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification/Registration is required.
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient care standards
• Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to appropriate health care professionals
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of service
• Completes quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
• Ensures patient data integrity
• Accurately maintains and updates patient records including; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
• Performs accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
• Participates as an active team member
• Orients and mentors new employees and students
• Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
• Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
