Specialty Production Batch Maker

Location:Hellertown, PA 18055

Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour

Schedule:Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Hours will fluctuate based on production schedules, shipping schedules, and company needs)

Work Environment: Comfortable working in hot, humid, dusty conditions; lifting 50 lbs. frequently

Position Overview

The Bug Company is a leading producer of live insects for the pet industry, supplying customers nationwide with high-quality feeder insects.

The Specialty Production Batch Maker is a key team member in our insect farming and production operations.We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Batch Maker to join our production team. You will measure, mix, and blend raw materials to create consistent, high-quality insect food batches following precise recipes and safety guidelines.This position is responsible for supporting daily production activities, insect husbandry, quality control, sanitation, inventory management, and facility operations.

Successful team members are dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to maintain consistent performance in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and mix raw ingredients accurately according to specific formulas, production schedules, and recipes.

• Operate and monitor mixing equipment, adjusting temperatures, speeds, and blending times as needed

• Follow established production procedures and quality standards

• Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production process
• Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues or required troubleshooting immediately.
• Operate basic equipment: tape guns, packaging tools, and materials safely and efficiently
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas
• Follow safety and handling procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and production output
• Assist with facility cleanliness and operational readiness
• Work with a team to meet daily production goals
