Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, collections, claim adjudication, denials, and appeals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify reimbursement variances.
• Ability to research complex accounts and interpret payer information.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Researches underpaid claims and compares payer reimbursements against contracted rates to identify variances.
• Reviews managed care payments for accuracy and investigates discrepancies.
• Identifies payer processing errors and reimbursement discrepancies affecting payment.
• Prepares first- and second-level appeals and tracks them to resolution.
• Maintains clear account documentation of issues, research, actions, and follow-up.
• Collaborates with leadership to resolve complex reimbursement issues and communicates findings.
