• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and diagnosis codes in billing.
• Experience with commercial insurance plans and managed care organizations.
• Familiarity with Medicare billing rules, coverage guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to review, track, and resolve claim denials and underpayments.
• Previous medical billing or revenue cycle experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with practice management systems and basic office software (e.g., Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interactions with payers, team members, and patients.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance carriers, Medicare, and other payers.
• Follow up on unpaid claims, resolve denials, post payments.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of patient information, codes, and diagnoses.
• Communicate with insurance companies, clinical and administrative teams, and patients to clarify coverage and billing issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, payer requirements, and practice policies.
